The fleet at the 2026 Cape Cod Bluewater Classic came alive on Day 3, and by the time the scale went quiet in Falmouth the overall picture had a new name at the top. Twin Reels stormed into the Big Boat Division Overall Points lead with 897 points, powered by a division-best 700 billfish points, as a wide-open tuna bite reshaped the boards.

Tuesday belonged to the tuna. Ghost Rider hung the fish of the day — a 211-pound bigeye that vaulted the boat to the top of the Big Boat Heaviest Tuna (excluding bluefin) category. The Hurricane answered with a bigeye barrage of its own, weighing fish of 145, 140 and 119 pounds, while a deep run of yellowfin from 76 to 90 pounds crossed the scale from boats including Ghost Rider, Strictly Business, AFISHINSEA, Opportunaty and Overtime. Reel Time's live board logged 82 catches on the day, with the action peaking between 1 and 5 p.m.

In the Small Boat Division, Vesper holds the Overall Points lead at 462 points, anchored by 300 billfish points, while Ethyl M remains the Small Boat Heaviest Tuna leader at 93 pounds. Across the fleet the release story is all billfish: through three days the tournament has logged 24 releases — eight blue marlin and 16 white marlin.

The category boards still carry familiar names from earlier in the week. Sandrita's 687-pound commercial bluefin, weighed on Day 1, remains the heaviest fish of the entire tournament. Team O.H.M. tops both Heaviest Yellowfin (101 pounds) and the three-fish YFT Stringer (251 pounds), Optimum leads Heaviest Mahi at 21 pounds, and Miss Jillian now owns Heaviest Wahoo at 40 pounds. In the OBBC Female Angler race, Jackie Carmichael aboard Lights Out leads Most Points with 188 and holds the Female Angler Heaviest Tuna at 76 pounds.

Through Day 3 the numbers tell the story of a fleet finding its rhythm: 167 fish caught across 56 boats — 115 yellowfin, 17 dolphin, six bigeye, four wahoo and the marlin releases. With the tournament's rolling 42-hour fishing windows still open through Friday, there is plenty of board left to move before the final weigh-in.
